The laws that govern the motion of objects in physics are known as Newton's Laws of Motion. Isaac Newton formulated three fundamental laws: the first law (inertia), which states that an object at rest stays at rest unless acted on by a force; the second law (F=ma), which relates force, mass, and acceleration; and the third law (action-reaction), stating that for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.
