The main role of RNA in protein synthesis is to act as a messenger and translator of genetic information from DNA to synthesize proteins. During transcription, messenger RNA (mRNA) is created from a DNA template. Subsequently, during translation, ribosomal RNA (rRNA) and transfer RNA (tRNA) work together to assemble amino acids into proteins based on the sequence encoded in the mRNA.
