One of the leaders of the Cuban Revolution alongside Fidel Castro was Ernesto "Che" Guevara. An Argentine-born revolutionary, Guevara became a central figure in the Cuban struggle against Batista’s regime. After the revolution's success, he held various government positions in Cuba and promoted international revolution. Guevara's image and ideology grew to symbolize anti-imperialist and revolutionary movements worldwide. His writings on guerrilla warfare and socialism have inspired countless activists and revolutionaries. However, he eventually left Cuba to support other revolutionary efforts in Africa and South America, ultimately facing execution in Bolivia in 1967.
