The Proclamation of 1763 occurred in the same year, 1763. It was issued by King George III following the conclusion of the Seven Years' War. The proclamation aimed to stabilize relations with Native Americans by prohibiting colonial settlement west of the Appalachian Mountains. This was also intended to reduce conflicts and manage colonial expansion.
