The African lake notable for being one of the deepest in the world is Lake Tanganyika. This lake is located between four countries: Burundi, Tanzania, Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Zambia. At approximately 1,470 meters deep, it is also the second-largest in terms of volume among the Great Lakes of Africa.
