The large desert found in the southwestern United States is the Sonoran Desert. Covering parts of Arizona, California, and Mexico, it is known for its diverse ecosystems and unique flora and fauna, including the iconic Saguaro cactus. The Sonoran Desert experiences extreme temperature variations between day and night, with very little annual rainfall. The region is also rich in cultural significance, home to multiple Native American tribes and bustling cities like Tucson and Phoenix.
