The planet known for its beautiful blue color and often called Earth’s twin is Venus. Despite being similar in size and composition to Earth, the two planets are remarkably different in terms of environmental conditions. Venus has a thick, toxic atmosphere predominantly composed of carbon dioxide, with surface temperatures reaching around 900°F (475°C), which is hotter than Mercury, despite being further from the Sun. The blue color is somewhat misleading; images of Venus often show blue hues due to the filtering effects of its atmosphere. Its extreme climate and dense atmosphere create a unique and inhospitable environment.
