A cheetah is a large feline found in sub-Saharan Africa and parts of Iran. It is most notable for being the fastest land animal, capable of reaching speeds up to 75 miles per hour (120 kilometers per hour) in short bursts covering distances up to 1,500 feet. Cheetahs possess a lightweight frame, long legs, and a unique respiratory system that allows them to sprint with remarkable agility and acceleration.
