The only reptile that can fly is the "flying dragon," also known as Draco volans. Found in Southeast Asia, these lizards use a combination of elongated ribs and flaps of skin to glide between trees, extending their bodies to catch air currents. They can glide distances of up to 10 meters or more. Unlike true fliers, such as birds, flying dragons do not have wings; instead, they maneuver through the forest canopy, showcasing an incredible adaptation that allows them to escape predators and search for food in tree branches.
