The world's highest waterfall is Angel Falls, located in Venezuela. It has an astonishing height of 3,212 feet (979 meters), with an uninterrupted drop of 2,648 feet (807 meters) from the Auyán-tepui mountain. Discovered by explorer Jimmy Angel in 1933, the waterfall is named in his honor, although it is called "Salto Ángel" in Spanish. The surrounding Canaima National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, features lush rainforests and diverse ecosystems, making Angel Falls a popular spot for ecotourism. The breathtaking scenery of the waterfall and its remote setting attract many visitors annually.
