The seventh planet from the sun is Uranus. It is an ice giant known for its unique bluish color, caused by the presence of methane in its atmosphere. Uranus has a distinct axial tilt of approximately 98 degrees, which means it essentially rotates on its side. This unusual tilt results in extreme seasonal variations. Uranus has a faint ring system and is accompanied by 27 known moons, with the largest being Titania and Oberon. It was discovered in 1781 by Sir William Herschel, making it the first planet discovered with a telescope.
