The largest wild cat species is the Siberian tiger, also known as the Amur tiger. This magnificent feline can weigh between 220 to 660 pounds and measure up to 10 feet in length, including its tail. Found mainly in the forests of eastern Russia, Siberian tigers are well adapted to cold environments with their thick fur and powerful build. They are solitary hunters, primarily preying on ungulates such as deer and wild boar. Unfortunately, due to habitat loss and poaching, Siberian tigers are classified as endangered, making conservation efforts critical for their survival.
