The largest type of owl is the Eurasian eagle owl (Bubo bubo). This impressive bird can have a wingspan of up to 6.6 feet (2 meters) and can weigh as much as 3.3 kilograms (7.3 pounds). Found across much of Europe and Asia, the Eurasian eagle owl is known for its distinctive ear tufts and striking orange eyes. These owls are versatile hunters, preying on a wide range of animals, including rodents, birds, and even small deer. Their powerful build and excellent camouflage make them formidable predators at night, as they typically hunt in low light conditions.
