The capital of Myanmar is Naypyidaw. Established as the capital in 2005, Naypyidaw was created to replace Yangon (Rangoon). The city is known for its wide boulevards, expansive government buildings, and organized urban layout, which stands in contrast to many other cities in Myanmar. Naypyidaw is relatively new, and its development was part of the military government's effort to decentralize power from Yangon. Despite being the administrative center, Naypyidaw remains less populated and less culturally vibrant compared to other major cities in the country.
