The animal known for its long neck is the giraffe. Giraffes are the tallest land animals, with their height reaching up to 18 feet (5.5 meters) in males. Their long necks allow them to reach high branches and leaves, primarily from acacia trees, which are their main food source. Interestingly, despite their long necks, giraffes have the same number of cervical vertebrae as humans—seven. These extraordinary features make them unique among mammals and well-adapted to their savanna habitats in Africa.
