Mount Kilimanjaro is located on the continent of Africa. It is situated in Tanzania, near the borders of Kenya. Standing at approximately 5,895 meters (19,341 feet), it is the highest peak in Africa and the tallest free-standing mountain in the world. Kilimanjaro is a dormant volcano with three volcanic cones: Kibo, Mawenzi, and Shira.
